Tourmalet skidomain is the widest in the French Pyrenees, especially with La Mpngie connexion.

Convivial resort but a bit expensive. Heaps of accommodation options and huge freeride options as well!!

43 ski lifts : 1 gondola lift, 1 aerial ropeway, 13 chair lift including 3 6person chair lifts with declutching system, 26 ski lifts, 2 moving walkway i.e. 32 km of ski lifts (a flow of 45 000 skiers per hour)

173 snow canons including 54 new ones on the Barèges sector

1 snowpark : boarder cross, tables, big air, rails but no pipe

1500 m difference in altitude from the Pic du Midi offering a long and fabulous descent (mountain guide or ski instructor mandatory)

Cross-country skiing : 14 km of trails in Barèges, 2 km in La Mongie.

Travel Information "Bareges"

By car: Motorway A64, exit 12 Tarbes Ouest or exit 11 Soumoulou, then follow indications for Lourdes N21 and Argeles-Gazost. By air: Tarbes Lourdes Pyrenees airport is 20km from Bagneres de Bigorre. Daily flights to/from Paris. By rail: Direct train to Lourdes, then SNCF train service shuttle to Bareges.
